Our school is proudly dedicated to St. Joseph, who inspires us each day to live with love, faith, and commitment. St Joseph is a powerful role model for our school community as he was caring, faithful, humble and hardworking. Therefore, we strive to follow his example in all that we do.
As the earthly father of Jesus and the husband of Mary, St Joseph played a vital role in God’s plan. He was a carpenter by trade and through his quiet strength and dedication, he lovingly cared for the Holy Family. Even when faced with challenges, he trusted in God completely. His life is a beautiful example of humility, service and obedience to God’s will.
St Joseph is the patron saint of workers, families and the universal Church, making him a particularly special figure in our faith and in our school’s identity.
Each year, we honour St. Joseph in meaningful ways. On his feast days, St. Joseph, Husband of Mary (19th March) and St. Joseph the Worker (1st May), we come together as a school to celebrate Mass and reflect on his life and virtues.
We also mark this special time with our annual “Change for Change Day”, a community event inspired by St. Joseph the Worker and the Catholic Social Teaching principle of the Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers. On this day, pupils and families donate pre-loved toys, books, plants, baked goods and bring in spare change to buy items and raise money for a chosen charity. It is a joyful way of coming together to make a positive difference, just as St Joseph quietly did through his daily work and service.
In 2025, the Pupil Chaplains chose to donate the money raised to Fairtrade, supporting workers around the world in receiving fair wages, safe conditions and dignity in their work, values that St. Joseph would be proud of.
