This week, we welcomed our Year 6 pupils back for the start of the new school year. It has been lovely to see everyone return refreshed, ready to learn and eager to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead in their final primary year.
Today, Amethyst Class attended First Friday Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, where Father Jenish led the celebration, while Violet Class gathered at St. Gabriel’s with Father Moses. Both Masses offered a special time of reflection and prayer as we begin this important year.
During the liturgy, we were reminded of the anniversary of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Her life of service to the poor and her dedication to love in action remain a powerful inspiration for us all. Her example encourages us to live with kindness, compassion and generosity in our daily lives, both in school and beyond. Children reflected on their experiences when they came back to school and made links to the Catholic Social Teaching principle ‘Preferential Option for the Poor’.
We look forward to a year filled with growth, friendship and faith as Year 6 take the next steps on their journey!
