Year 6 made the most of the good weather this week; we used the weather as an opportunity to take our Maths lesson outside. We created a treasure trail of Maths questions where the children took part in a race to the finish, working collaboratively with their partners. We went over some key concepts that we have covered throughout the year to consolidate and secure the pupils’ understanding.
In Science, we explored a new topic of Light. The pupils discussed how we could prove that light travels in straight lines. This led to further discussion as to how shadows are formed. The pupils then set up an experiment where they drew the direction the light of a torch travelled when faced with an opaque object.
