Year 5 visited St Aloysius for an enriching educational trip that combined academic learning with team building activities. The geography lesson allowed students to explore map reading, capital cities in countries around the world and natural/human features. In history, they delved into the Tudor era and learnt about the reign of Elizabeth I. The day concluded with dynamic team-building games, including problem-solving challenges, which fostered communication and collaboration. The trip was a memorable experienced.
Year 5 participated in an engaging workshop focused on waste recycling, where they learned about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling to protect the environment. This was linked closely to our Catholic Social Teaching pirnciple, ‘Care for Creation’. Through interactive activities, students discovered how waste is sorted and processed, the impact of recycling on reducing landfill use and ways to minimise their own waste at home. The workshop inspired students to think critically about sustainability and take practical steps toward a greener future.
