This week in our Year 5 prayer and liturgy session, two students beautifully led a meditative prayer for the class. They spoke clearly and gently, creating a peaceful and calm atmosphere. Soft music played in the background as they guided everyone to focus on their breathing and take a moment to connect with God. The quietness in the room gave us all a special chance to reflect on our thoughts and feelings. It was a meaningful and calming experience that helped us feel more peaceful and focused for the rest of the day.
In our Year 5 religion lesson this week, the students learned all about the Ten Commandments and their importance in living a good and loving life. We explored what each commandment means and how we can follow them in our daily actions. After our discussion, the students were given the opportunity to draw a picture to represent each of the Ten Commandments. Their drawings were thoughtful and creative, showing their understanding of values like honesty, respect, and kindness. It was a wonderful way for the class to reflect on how we can live by God’s rules in a way that helps us care for others and make good choices.
