This week has been a truly special one for Year 5, full of reflection, celebration, and creativity.
Turquoise Class had the honour of hosting Friday Mass, beautifully centred on Good Shepherd Sunday. The students led with reverence and thoughtfulness, helping the whole school reflect on the meaning of guidance, care, and community. A special moment in the Mass was our prayerful reflection on the recent appointment of Pope Leo XIV. The children spoke with maturity about what it means to welcome a new leader in the Church and how we can follow his example of humility and service.
We were also delighted to welcome some truly inspiring projects about the construction of our church. The pupils explored the history, vision, and meaning behind building a place of worship—and what it means to contribute to something bigger than ourselves.
Throughout the week, the children delved deeper into what it means to be part of a Passionist parish. They learned about the values of compassion, dedication, and spiritual reflection that are at the heart of Passionist life. Their insights were thoughtful and sincere, reminding us all of the importance of faith in action.
To top off an already fantastic week, we were thrilled to celebrate a brilliant achievement—one of our Year 5 students won the Make It Happen challenge by designing an impressive new app! Their creativity and problem-solving skills wowed the judges, and we couldn’t be prouder of their innovation and hard work.
