Our first school Catholic Mass of the year was a beautiful and meaningful celebration that brought our school community together in faith. The focus of the Mass centered on St. Carlo Acutis, a modern young saint known for his deep devotion to the Eucharist, generosity, and his inspiring example of letting God guide his life. Students listened attentively and reflected on how they, too, can follow God’s path with open hearts and kindness. The behavior and engagement of all students throughout the ceremony were truly commendable, showing great respect and reverence. It was a wonderful start to our spiritual journey for the year ahead.
In our recent P.E. lesson, students took part in an exciting basketball game that focused on developing key skills and improving overall fitness. The session included practising shooting the ball into the hoop, running to build stamina, and engaging in fun fitness activities to boost energy and coordination. Students also worked on important ball skills such as passing, dribbling, and teamwork, which helped them become more confident and skilled on the court. Everyone showed great enthusiasm and effort throughout the lesson, making it a fun and active learning experience for all.
Students in Year 5 led Prayer and Liturgy today for each of their classes. It was great to see students actively participating in collective worship and working together to achieved a shared goal. Today we focused our prayer on generosity which directly linked to our start of year mass earlier in the week.
Please remember to bring in your Homework this Monday so the teacher can check and mark your work.
