On Ash Wednesday, pupils from Years 1 to 6 attended a special Mass at St. Joseph’s Church to mark the beginning of Lent. This significant day in the Church calendar invited our pupils to reflect on the themes of repentance, reflection and renewal. After the Mass, the pupils took time to reflect on their experience and the meaning of Lent in their RE books. It was a beautiful opportunity for them to connect with their faith and prepare for the season of reflection, prayer and self-discipline.
This Thursday, our school celebrated World Book Day 2025 with a day full of joy, imagination and the magic of books! In the morning, Year 4 shared stories with the Reception classes, bringing books to life with expressive readings. This heart-warming tradition helped foster a sense of community, as older pupils acted as mentors while younger pupils enjoyed the magic of storytelling. In the afternoon, all year groups came together for the Whole-School Big Book Quiz. Teams worked across ages to answer questions about characters, authors and classic stories. The quiz sparked plenty of excitement and friendly competition, with everyone enjoying the chance to show off their book knowledge. Here’s to continuing the magic of books beyond World Book Day! 📚🎉
