On Wednesday, our talented Year 4 pupils delivered a joyful and heartfelt Harvest Assembly for parents and carers, celebrating the theme “Thank You for the Harvest!” Through songs, poems, drama and prayer, the children reminded us all to be thankful for the food we eat, the people who grow it, and the blessings we enjoy every day. From the opening prayer to the final school song, the hall was filled with warmth, gratitude and a real sense of community.
Each scene brought the Harvest to life – The hard-working farmers and gardeners explained how they harvest our crops and provide food for many, while the animals, fruits and vegetables explained how they nourish us. A highlight was the global pizza story, where children dressed as ingredients like flour, cheese, and basil, to explain how food from across the world comes together to make something we all enjoy. With thoughtful narrators, colourful props, and beautifully sung songs like “Grateful” and “1, 2, 3, 4, 5 A Day”, the message of thankfulness and sharing was clear throughout.
We’re especially proud of how Year 4 reminded us to think of others during harvest time; encouraging us to share our blessings and support those in need. Thank you to all the staff who supported the performance, and of course to our fantastic families for joining us. If you couldn’t attend or would like to relive the special moments, the video of the performance is now available to watch below. Happy Harvest!
