As it was the first Friday of the month, both Year 4 classes had the wonderful opportunity to attend Mass in our parish churches.
Sapphire Class visited St Gabriel’s, where Father Moses celebrated Mass. Blue Class attended St Joseph’s, with Father George leading the celebration. We are very grateful to both priests for their warm welcome and to the parish teams for being so accommodating and supportive of our children.
The readings focused on St Paul’s message about the importance of watching our words, letting go of grudges, and choosing forgiveness, a message that really resonated with the children and supported our ongoing work on Gospel values and how we live them out in our daily lives.
Pupils took an active role in the liturgy: some served at the altar, others carried the gifts to the altar with reverence and several read with confidence, showing real understanding of the sacredness of the moment.
We are proud of how Year 4 represented the school and lived out our mission through participation and reflection. A big thank you again to St Gabriel’s and St Joseph’s for helping make this a meaningful experience for our pupils.
