We have been Christmas crazy in year 3 this week! On Tuesday we made our beautiful Christmas crafts which will go home next week. Pupils picked a special word which reminded them of Christmas and used Scrabble letters to spell it out. Following on from this our Caritas in action day was based on the concept of community. Pupils had an opportunity to explore their local community, discussing wider concepts such as diversity and individuality. On Thursday we had our year 3 and 4 Christmas party. Pupils ate, drank and were merry! With lots of different activities on offer, pupils had an opportunity to watch Christmas movies, dance, get creative and play games outside. In RE this week we have been focusing on Advent and then countdown to the birth of Jesus Christ. We have explored the idea of a ‘special visitor’ and made our Advent promises for this Christmas period.
Have a lovely weekend!
