This week we have been learning all about making meaningful connections for mental health week. Pupils had opportunities to explore a variety of ways we connect with others. Pupils came up with many different suggestions and discussed the importance of maintaining these connections to improve our mental health. In year 3 we made paper chains to display the different ways we connect with others around us.
We also had a fantastic opportunity to watch a superb performance this morning by the performing arts students from City and Islington College. Pupils were blown away by the current, artistic, and engaging display of music and theatre. ‘Winter Tales’ told the story of many well-known fictional characters such as; The Snow Queen, The Little Match Girl, and Scrooge. Pupils were inspired by the clever blend of music and drama and even had opportunities to get involved in the tale.
A huge thank you to Mr. Chaundy and the students of City and Islington College for sharing this fantastic tale with us today!
Pupils ended the term with a fabulous display of the basketball skills they have been learning in PE over the last 6 weeks. Pupils had to put their skills into practice by coming up with a game and a set of rules based on their awareness of the rules and skills used in basketball. They then had an opportunity to showcase their game to their peers.
