Today, our Year 3 classes had the wonderful opportunity to visit their local churches as part of their continued faith journey.
Emerald Class attended St Gabriel’s Church, where they took part in a reverent and meaningful Mass. Two children from Emerald Class read the First Reading beautifully, and others had the honour of offering the gifts during the Offertory. The theme of the homily was how we can show that we love Jesus, and the children responded thoughtfully. They spoke about recognising Jesus’ sacrifice and how we can follow His example in our everyday lives by being kind, forgiving, and generous.
At the same time, Green Class visited St Joseph’s Church, where they also participated in Mass with great respect and reverence. It was a lovely opportunity for both classes to come together in worship and strengthen their understanding of the Mass and its meaning.
We are thankful that these parishes were so welcoming and are incredibly proud of all the children for the way they conducted themselves and for the mature and insightful reflections they shared.
