We have had another exciting and action-packed week in year 3. Pupils have been studying how the body works in science investigating how our muscles and joints work to help us move and function. We have had great fun in the sun labeling different joints in our bodies and sorting them into the categories of ball and socket, hinge, and sliding joints. In English, we have started to write our return narratives and have explored how authors provide paragraphs with themes to keep their writing interesting and engaging for the reader. In maths, we have ended our week exploring time to the minute on the analog clock.
On Tuesday, Green Class held their prayer service which followed the theme of diversity. In religion, pupils have been learning about Pentecost and how the apostles were given the ability to ‘speak in tongues.’ We have discussed how this allowed them to spread the gospel message to ‘the ends of the earth’ and to a diverse community of people. Thus we decided to follow a theme of unique and diverse talents given to us by the Holy Spirit. This service allowed every pupil to celebrate their individuality in the presence of their friends and family.
Have a fantastic weekend!
