This week in Year 3, the children have once again worked incredibly hard and shown real enthusiasm for their learning. It has been wonderful to see their effort, teamwork and thoughtfulness shining through in everything they have done.
In RE, one of our lessons was focused on the Catholic Social Teaching principle Dignity of the Worker. Together, we discussed what this means in our everyday lives and why it is important to value and respect the work that everyone does. The children reflected beautifully on how work can be a way of showing love and care for others.
To bring their ideas to life, the children took part in role-play activities. They explored different real-life scenarios such as:
-
Helping busy parents at home with everyday jobs.
-
Caring for creation by picking up litter and protecting our environment.
-
Welcoming a new child into school and making sure they feel included and valued.
The children showed great empathy and imagination in their role-plays, really thinking about how small actions can make a big difference. Many of them shared their own ideas about ways they could live out this principle at home, at school, and in the wider community.
It has been inspiring to see how much thought and care Year 3 have put into their learning this week. They are growing in kindness, responsibility and respect, and we are so proud of the way they are putting their faith into action.
Well done, Year 3 – another brilliant week of hard work, big ideas, and compassionate hearts!
