Year 2 have had another busy and exciting week of learning in Yellow and Diamond Class!
In Geography, we continued with our topic Our Wonderful World. The children explored the four countries of the United Kingdom and discovered their capital cities. Using the school’s world map mural, we located the UK and talked about where we live in relation to the rest of the world. The children were fascinated to see how small the UK looks compared to other countries!
In Religion, we learned the story of Noah and the Ark. The children reflected on God’s promise – the covenant He made with humanity never to flood the earth again. Together, we created beautiful rainbows, remembering that this is the special sign God sends to remind us of His covenant.
It has been wonderful to see the children engaging so thoughtfully in both their geography and religious learning this week. They are asking big questions, sharing ideas, and showing great enthusiasm for their new knowledge.
