This week, our classes and their families gathered for a special prayer service centered around the theme of “Communities.” It was a powerful reminder of the importance of working together as a unified whole. We explored the idea that a community is like a body – made up of many different parts, each contributing something unique and valuable.
In the service, we reflected on the verse from 1 Corinthians 12:12, which reminds us that “the body is one and has many members.” Just as a human body has different parts – hands, feet, eyes, and ears – each part is essential for the body to function as it should, so too is a community made up of different people, each with their own talents, roles, and strengths.
Through our prayer, we were reminded that no part of the body is more important than another, and likewise, no person in a community is less significant. Whether we are leaders, helpers, or listeners, each role matters and supports the greater good.
We are so proud of all the children for participating so reverently and are thankful for the adults and children that took time out of their day to visit our classes to pray with us!
