Our Year 3 classes had a fantastic time exploring the hardness of different materials in their recent science investigation. The children carefully scratched a range of materials and observed how easily each one could be marked. They then compared their findings to judge which materials were harder or softer. This hands-on activity sparked great curiosity and discussion, helping students understand the concept of material hardness in a fun and practical way.
On Friday morning, we were thrilled to welcome Georgia Carmichael, a para athlete, PR1 rower, and world champion, to our school. Georgia, who is currently training with the Great Britain team for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, spoke to us about her incredible journey in sport so far. She shared inspiring stories about her determination, challenges, and achievements, encouraging everyone to work hard and believe in themselves. After her talk, Georgia led an energetic fitness workout with the year group, getting everyone moving and motivated. It was a truly inspiring visit that left us all feeling excited about setting goals and staying active.
