What a fantastic first week back for Year 2! On Thursday, we went on a trip to the Peacock Theatre to see My First Ballet: Swan Lake. The dancers were amazing! They moved so gracefully and wore beautiful costumes. I was very proud of how well the children behaved; they watched the ballet with big smiles on their faces. It was a magical experience that we will always remember!
Today, our whole school went to St Joseph’s Church for Mass. We gathered together to start the new term and to remember the wonderful work of Pope Francis. The children listened carefully and joined in with the prayers. It was lovely to see everyone together in celebration.
To make our week even better, Year 2 had a super fun session with Animal Club. They brought lots of different animals for us to see, pet, and hold! We saw friendly bearded dragons, colourful geckos, and interesting chameleons. The children were excited to meet frogs, stick insects, and even a scorpion and a tarantula! The soft chinchilla was a favourite, and we learned about snakes and land snails too. It was an unforgettable experience for everyone in Year 2!
