This week, Year 2 have had an excellent week filled with exciting learning experiences! On Monday, we were lucky enough to attend a fantastic road safety show. The show taught us all about being safe when crossing the road, which is very important. We learned how to look left and right, and always to use a zebra crossing when we can. We left the show feeling much more confident about crossing the road safely!
Later in the week, we went on a science walk around our school. We were looking for microhabitats, which means the small homes of various creatures. As we walked through the grass and under bushes, we looked closely and discovered lots of mini-beasts! We spotted ants running on the ground, woodlice sleeping in the logs, and even a friendly snail. It was fascinating to see how these little creatures live in their habitats; some were in the soil, while others hid under leaves.
Overall, it has been a wonderful week of learning. We have gained important life skills from the road safety show and explored the wonderful world of nature on our science walk.
