This week, we learned about climate change and how it affects our planet. The children created colourful posters to show what they’ve discovered. They included facts about saving energy and recycling. We encourage you to discuss these important topics at home as our goal is to inspire everyone to take care of our world. Together, we can make a difference!
We were all disappointed that this year’s Sports Day had to be postponed due to the rain, however, we did not let this dampen our spirits! Years 1 and 2 took part in a fun filled mini sports event in the playground instead, ensuring that our children still had a wonderful time filled with fun and healthy competition. This involved riveting relay races, balancing beanbags on their heads, and even a “run like a chicken” race! The laughter and cheers echoed throughout the playground. We are confident that Year 2 will be more than ready when the main event is rescheduled.
Citrine class enjoyed an engaging environmental lesson with Miss Sophia, where they further developed their planting skills. The students showed great interest while exploring the pond and observing the frogs as they progressed through their life cycle. Yellow and Diamond classes are eagerly looking forward to their upcoming lesson, which will take place after the half-term break.
Year 2 have been working exceptionally hard over the past six weeks. Enjoy the half term – we wish you a restful break.
