This week, Year 2 has been learning about the importance of celebrating reconciliation and forgiveness in our school community. We talked about how saying sorry and forgiving each other can make us feel better and help us become closer friends. Each one of us wrote down something we wanted to be forgiven for, whether it was for not sharing or being a bit grumpy. Together, we created our very own “Forgiveness Tree” outside our classrooms! It is a beautiful tree filled with our wishes for forgiveness, and it reminds us how important it is to be kind to one another.
In addition to learning about forgiveness, the Year 2s have been busy getting crafty! This week, we had lots of fun sewing our own pouches. Everyone showed great perseverance and willpower as they pushed through the tricky bits. Some of us found it hard to get the needle through the fabric, but we kept trying and helped each other along the way. Our sewing looks amazing, and we can’t wait to use our pouches for keeping our little treasures safe.
Overall, this has been a wonderful term filled with learning and creativity. We wish everyone a restful Easter break, and we look forward to sharing even more exciting adventures next term!
