What a fantastic start our Year 2 children have made! Both Yellow and Diamond Class have settled beautifully into the new school year, showing kindness, curiosity, and a real enthusiasm for learning.
This week, we’ve begun two exciting new topics. In Science, our theme is Healthy Me. The children are already exploring the importance of making good choices for our bodies, from eating well to staying active, and are keen to share their ideas on how to keep healthy. In Geography, our topic is Our Wonderful World. We started by looking at the continents and thinking about how amazing and varied our planet is. The children’s questions and observations have shown just how eager they are to find out more.
A particularly special moment for our Year 2s has been their first pupil-led celebrations of the Word this year. Both classes have prepared and led thoughtful times of prayer and reflection, inspiring others with their words and actions. It has been wonderful to see them grow in confidence, speak with reverence, and enjoy a calm, prayerful environment together.
We are so proud of the way Year 2 have started this term – full of energy for learning and shining brightly in both their studies and their faith.
