Welcome back to Year 2! After a fun half-term break, our students are ready to start exciting new activities. This week, our classrooms have been filled with joy and learning.
In Diamond and Yellow classes, the term began with a fantastic outdoor lesson led by Miss Sophia. The students went outside to see bumblebees in the school garden. They learned how important these little creatures are for flowers and plants, helping them grow and stay healthy.
Meanwhile, all Year 2 students explored the idea of mass with hands-on activities. Using balance scales and different objects like toys, fruit, and stones, they compared and measured their weights. This fun experience helped them understand how heavy or light things are. They thought carefully about their findings and worked together to solve problems.
To top off an incredible week, we were thrilled to welcome two special guests, Mrs and Mrs Stubbs, who shared fascinating stories about their childhood holidays. Their tales transported students back in time, giving them a glimpse of the past and sparking discussions about how holidays and traditions have evolved over the years.
As we begin our last term, we are excited to see our Year 2 students grow in confidence and learn new things. We look forward to more fun adventures together!
