Well done Orange and Amber classes for another busy week of learning!
Year 1 have been learning about their five senses this term. We have put our learning to good use by making sensory bottles this week. We used water, paint and glitter to make bottles that looked and felt interesting!
We were also very lucky to have our local nurses come in to talk to us all about oral health. We learned how to brush our teeth properly and that we should spit but not rinse as this gets rid of the fluoride. The children were excited to get a colourful toothbrush to bring home and practice what we have learned.
To end our busy week, we learned about The Dignity of the Human Person as our Caritas theme on Friday. We listened to the Creation story and acted it out in groups. This was great fun! We also wrote about why we are each important and amazing, even though we are all different.
Let’s keep up the great work for our last week in school before October Half-Term.
