This week, both classes invited our parents in to take part in our Prayer Service. We discussed the Catholic Social Teaching Principle: Community and Participation. The children read A Letter from the Romans:
“We are all parts of one body. Each part belongs to the others.
We all have different gifts. Let us use them to help one another.”
We discussed the people in our own communities and reflected on who we would want to keep in our prayers, we then came up with our own missions. The missions included us doing something for that person or people in our community. There were some lovely responses such as:
‘Help a neighbour with their garden’
‘Check in on an elderly neighbour’
‘Give my mum a hug’
‘Help my brother with exams’
It was a lovely way to start our mornings and participate in prayer with our loved ones.
We also participated in the sponsored Bounce which was organised by our PFA, the children had a lot of fun bouncing in the sunshine with friends!
