It’s been another busy and exciting week in Year 1!
In Maths, we’ve been comparing numbers and practising using greater than, less than, and equal to. The children worked brilliantly using manipulatives to decide which numbers were bigger or smaller.
In English, we started writing fact files all about ourselves! The children enjoyed sharing fun facts and using adjectives to describe who they are and what they love.
History was full of fun and laughter as we played traditional games from the 1950s and 60s, including What’s the Time, Mr. Wolf?, Duck Duck Goose, and Pat-a-Cake.
In Religion, we learned about CAFOD and how communities around the world care for God’s creation. We explored dot painting from Australia, rangoli art from India, and songs from Kenya, celebrating how we can all look after our beautiful world.
What a great effort by all and we look forward to Parent Teacher Conferences this Thursday!
Kind Regards,
Year 1 Team
