This week in English, we have been learning all about fact files and their structure. We even wrote our own fact files about animals. Did you know some of our facts were really surprising?
In Maths, we continued our hard work with the number 5 and a bit, and we practiced comparing numbers using more than and fewer than. The children were super focused and had fun spotting patterns in numbers.
Our history lesson was a real treat! We compared schools in the 1950s and 60s to our schools today. The teachers even acted as traditional Victorian teachers. What a funny and unforgettable experience!
In Religion, we have been practising the Our Father prayer and thinking about caring for God’s creation. To help grow God’s nature, we even watered some trees!
In Science, we used our amazing eyesight to find words hidden around the classroom. It was like a treasure hunt, and it helped us understand just how important our eyes are in everyday life.
A huge congratulations to Ronan in Amber class for winning the Year 1 Poetry award! Great work!
It has been a busy week full of learning, fun and discovery.
