This week, we have continued with our fractions topic in Maths. We have been exploring half and quarters of shapes and developed this further by exploring quarters and halves of a quantity!
In English, we have finished our stories which included us writing paragraphs in connection to our focus book: Where the Wild Things Are. The children ensured they had finger spaces, full stops, exciting adjectives, beautiful handwriting and a creative mind to write a coherent story!
As the weather affected our Sports Day, we tried to make the most of it in the afternoon when the sun eventually showed its face! We joined forces with Year 2 and had a lot of fun competing in our colours and agreed we were all winners! It is fair to say, we will be ready for the next sports day!!
The children also led a beautiful Celebration of the Word on Friday afternoon, they led the class through scripture, asked some meaningful questions and set the class on a mission to take forward for the week ahead!
