We have had an exciting week in Year 1!
We celebrated Care for Creation day which included us caring and respecting the world God has given us. The children spent the day away from screens, enjoying the great outdoors and learning how to protect our planet. Activities included nature walks, planting flowers with Ms Sophia, and creating art using the materials in nature to create crosses, role play outside for our lesson on the Good Samaritan, a visit from the Eco-warriors who shared Grandmother Willow with us, as well as some meditiation and cloud watching too! Through hands-on experiences and thoughtful discussions, pupils explored the importance of reducing waste, respecting wildlife, and making small changes to care for the world around them. It was a joyful and meaningful day that inspired everyone to be better stewards of the Earth!
We also visited our school chapel to witness the Blessed Sacrament! We took some time to reflect on this significant moment and how we were in the presence of Jesus. We then said our own prayers to Jesus and acknowledged what a truly special moment this was for us.
