Welcome back to the last few weeks of Autumn! This week Green and Emerald Class have been focusing on practising our times tables. We have been playing lots of games and solving missing number problems to understand the relationship between our times tables knowledge and division facts. The children have now been given usernames and passwords to login in to our new resource ‘Times Table Rockstars’! Please try to login in to your account regularly to continue your times table practise. (Remember to search under Highgate when selecting your school).
On Friday, the children continued with their weekly recorder lessons. This week, Mr Lumley taught the children a new piece of music and he was very impressed with how quickly the children have managed to read musical notation. We can now play 2 notes on the recorder and know the difference between crotchets and quavers!
This week we also prepared for our visit to The Tower of London on Monday. We researched some facts and shared our knowledge by creating a mind map with our learning partners.
Please remember to wear a warm coat and suitable shoes as lots of our day will be spent outside. We aim to return to school by 3:30pm, however we may be slightly later as our final group session at the Tower is due to finish at 2:30pm. Please collect children from the Upper Junior Playground.
