Year 3 had an amazing time at the Saatchi gallery on Monday! Thank you so much to all of our parent helpers.
We learnt so much about the importance of the items buried in Tutankhamun’s tomb and the Ancient Egyptian’s belief in the after-life.
Each gallery contained artefacts that had been found in Tutankhamun’s tomb, the children saw statues of the workforce, the boy king’s bed and boats, just to name a few things. The Ancient Egyptian’s believed that with the magic of the afterlife, these would all become life size.
The children were all blown away by the quality of the artefacts, the colours were all so vibrant!
The children all took part in a workshop where they made their own sacred symbols.
It was a wonderful day and the whole of Year 3 should be proud of themselves for how engaged they were with their learning at the Saatchi Gallery.
