On Wednesday Night we held the third round of the St Joseph’s Speaker’s Challenge. The theme was “Speak out, Don’t Freak Out.” Pupils from years 2 to 5 wrote and delivered speeches to their classmates. Each class picked two pupils to go through to the next round. The topic range was vast and covered personal stories, monologues, research projects and current affairs. Sixteen pupils delivered their speeches during an evening which included instrumental performances, our choir and a choreographed Street Dance routine.
A marvellous evening was had by all. Parent comments included “The children really shone tonight!” and “It was great to see all the wonderful children, speak very clearly with courage and self-confidence. All the participants were excellent!”
