We’ve had an incredible first week back, diving into our exciting new theme, “All Around the World”.
In literacy, we’ve been exploring the book My Granny Went to Market. Just like Granny, we created our very own flying carpets and used them to travel across the globe!

- In Italy, we became chefs and made delicious pizzas.
- In Thailand, we learned all about the majestic elephants.
- In Mexico, we designed and crafted some incredible masks.
- In China, we created beautiful, traditional lanterns.

It’s been an amazing adventure so far, and we can’t wait to see where our journey takes us next!
During our Class Celebrations of the Word the children leading decided they wanted to spend time thanking God for all he provides for us. We listened to 1 Chronicles 16:34 and remembered that we do not only ask God for help when we need it, but thank him for all he has done for us because he is good. They taught the class the Makaton sign for thank you and invited them to say a thank you pray.
- ‘Thank you for all my family and friends’
- ‘Thank you for yummy food to eat’
- ‘Thank you for my house’
- ‘Thank you for our school and teachers’
We can not wait to see what countries we visit on our flying carpet next week!
