This week in Pre-Nursery we have continued our learning of our ‘All About Me’ theme. We have been learning how we have changed and grown since we were little looking at pictures of us when we were babies. The children have enjoyed looking after the dolls in Pre-Nursery washing them, brushing the dolls teeth and drying them.
We have been strengthening our fine motor skills as well as our hand-eye- coordination by using our hands and different sized spoons to put rice and pasta into different sized bottles. It was lots of fun especially when the children learnt they could make different sounds when the bottles were filled.
In Opal class the children have been enjoying their newly created ‘Ice Cream Shop’ which was designed by the children through their interests.
We have been exploring how we can make marks using large movements on big pieces of paper.
We did some gardening with our Environmental Teacher, the children helped clear the leaves away before helping to add the soil and then planted the bulbs.
The children have also enjoyed exploring lots of other activities available both indoors and outdoors.
