Year 3 had an awesome time at the Natural History Museum on Wednesday! A massive thank you to all of the parents who helped – trips wouldn’t be able to happen without you!
Some of us were amazed from the very start by how beautiful the building is…..
Each class took part in a Dino Scene workshop. During this the children answered lots of questions on paleontology, and what it means when an animal is extinct, we also learnt all about how fossils are formed! The children were extremely knowledgeable during the workshop, we are SUPER proud of their paleontology skills!!
We also spent time exploring the museum! Here’s what some of the children in Year 3 loved the most about our trip…..
Bendeguz – The coolest thing was the creepy crawly room!
Oliver – The workshop was the best part because I really liked the digging.
Matys – (and many others) the crystal room!
Jack – The whale named Hope at the front.
Elena- The birds because I saw birds that were extinct, like the Dodo.
Elliana & Juiliette – The workshop because we got to dig out the dinosaur head!
Yzabelle – My favorite part was the robotic dinosaur because it could move and make noises!
Lily- Rose – My favorite part was going to the workshop and learning more about fossils.
Matilde – My favorite part was when we went to the workshop and we measured the dinosaurs skull.
And here are some pictures of our amazing day!
