Our students showcased their creativity by delving into the world of coding on micro:bits. One group took on the challenge of coding a compass, while the other group focused on creating a step counter.
During the captivating Moonwalker show at Lightroom, our students learned the significance of following schedules and maximising exploration opportunities on the Moon. They knew the compass’s vital role on Earth in navigating towards specific destinations. However, faced with the reality of lunar exploration sans compass, our innovative children decided to mark their pathways with flags!
The step counter project sparked discussions about its utility for astronauts monitoring their activity outside the spaceship. The students even proposed turning it into a fun competition – a Sports Day event on the Moon??
Using the SkyView app, our budding astronomers further explored the Moon, located the ISS and identified planets visible in our hemisphere at this time of year. Thank you for igniting the curiosity and creativity of our students; the sky is no longer the limit for them!
