To make our ‘Adventures under the Sea’ learning really come alive, Nursery went on an epic trip to the Sealife London Aquarium on Tuesday. It was certainly an adventurous journey! We travelled on the underground, navigated escalators and all did a fantastic job of listening to instructions on the way.
We walked to the South Bank and saw the River Thames, as well as Big Ben across the water.
Once inside we were keen to see our favourites. The turtles, penguins and sharks were extremely popular, and we spotted lots of animals from our stories or films.
We were very impressed how many different types of animals there were. We were super excited to see a lady scuba diver cleaning and we even got a chance to feel some shark eggs! Finally we saw some beautiful jellyfish.
We were blessed with amazing weather, so after The Aquarium we had a lovely picnic lunch in Jubilee Park and some glorious play; before heading back to school. With so much excitement it was not surprising some of us fell asleep on the way back!
