This week Nursery started exploring its new theme: ‘Myself and my family.’ Our key text was ‘This is Me!’ by George Webster. We talked about what makes us special – and celebrated how God has made us all different. We painted fabulous self-portraits which we were proud to show our friends; and were delighted to see them displayed.
We also investigated the creative boxes; and represented our bodies or faces with a variety of collage materials.
In R.E we learnt about The Creation Story – and were excited to discover all the amazing things that God made! We enjoyed creating our own masterpieces – such as suns, grass and sky on the creative table; or trees and flowers on the playdough table.
We experienced God’s wonderful world both inside and out, and even sang about it!
We later used the beautiful colours God has given us in our maths activities. We sorted a wide range of objects according to colour, and all did a fantastic job.
