Pearl Class have had a wonderful start to the year. As well as settling marvellously well after the Christmas break, we have had a lovely week getting to know new friends. We have also started our learning on the first theme of the year: ‘Animal Fun’. Our key text has been ‘Dear Zoo’, and we have been finding out about zoos and wild animals.
We were also very excited to discover two different role play areas to enhance our learning. We now have our very own vet surgery in our classroom. We have been learning about caring for sick animals, and we have been very busy acting as vets, nurses and office staff.
In our central area we have been exploring another new role play area: a farm, complete with farm shop and tea room.
We have done a fantastic job of acting as animals, farmers and shopkeepers. We helped each other to put on our costumes.
Dressing up in role and driving the tractor have definitely been favourite activities this week!
