Year 4 have had another excellent week. The children have been busy exploring Europe, reporting on the Euros and focusing on their time telling. The children had an exciting day on Thursday as they got the opportunity to meet their new teachers for Year 5. The excitement for the next academic year has already begun!
We are very sad as a year group to say goodbye to our outstanding teaching assistant Ms Garvey today. We wish her all of the best in her new school and will miss her so dearly. Ms Garvey has worked with many children in our school and has truly impacted their lives for the better. 18 years of dedication, love and kindness.
When asked the children to recall what she has done for them, many children highlighted her pivotal role in teaching them to read. As teachers, both Mr Prescott and Miss Doherty have sought her opinion and experience many times this year. We celebrated her role in the school with a small surprise party this afternoon in the PE. Hall. Good luck, we miss you already Ms Garvey!
