Thank you to all who came to St Joseph’s and St Gabriel’s I am sure you will have enjoyed the mass as much as we did.
The reading was fantastic, the children read with such clarity and presence, especially for Year 3 it was an incredible achievement.
Also thank you to all parents who brought the children in with their ‘numbers day’ outfits, also a donation to raise awareness of charities.
The children took part in a problem solving, code cracking activity using roman numerals. It is fair to say some children showed incredible code breaking talent.

Continue to read with an adult at home. Ask them to ask you some questions about what you have read.
Please remember to get your school planner signed each night after reading with an adult.

Write a paragraph to describe the setting in the picture. Remember to include:
• Prepositions – on, above, below, over, in the middle, under etc
• Similes – as round as an orange, like a…………….
• Exciting adjectives
• Interesting adverbs – gently, carefully, gracefully etc
