It has been an excellent week in Year 3 (as always)! We have enjoyed writing fantastic descriptive paragraphs and poems as Harry Potter. We focussed on expanded noun phrases and alliteration, writing phrases like: dreadful, disgusting Dudley and cold, crooked, cramped cupboard.
In Maths, we have now come to the end of our fractions. We ended with fractions of amounts and equivalent fractions. Ask the children all about this as they were confident in articulating their processes using mathematical language.
The highlight of our week just HAS to be their AMAZING art work. In our Extreme Survival topic we have been looking at hot and cold places on the world map. We created hot and cold artwork. Don’t you just love how every piece has it’s own personal touch.
Lastly, we enjoyed our fun sponsored bounce on Friday! Thank you to the PFA for organizing such fun every year!
Well done Year 3. Have a super weekend.
