Wow, what another fun and busy week we’ve had in Year 3 this week! In English, the children have all created fantastic poems based on a comet flying through the sky and have used similes, alliteration and onomatopoeia that was out of this world! In maths they carried on working hard on place value and solved some fantastic problems today! In their science lesson, the children got to explore the processes rocks go through by using chocolate! By layering different chocolate flavours the children understood how sedimentary rocks are formed and then by melting the chocolate they discovered how metamorphic rocks are formed. What a mess!
We can’t wait to see what next week brings us and neither can the children as they are all excited to start their swimming lesson on Tuesday afternoon!
