This week in Year 2 there have been lots of opportunities for creativity across the curriculum.
This week in English we read the text ‘Katie in London’ and used it as a stimulus for our writing. We acted out different scenes and completed a piece of extended writing where we retold the story.
On Thursday morning we had an assembly where we learnt about the amazing work that is being done to build a school and an orphanage in Kafunjo. We look forward to raising more money again this term.
This morning we had our first ‘Stay and Learn’ session of the new academic year. We had the opportunity to complete Maths, Phonics and practical activities alongside our parents and carers. We really enjoyed this session and look forward to welcoming lots more parents and carers next week.
We presented our amazing Great Fire of London homework projects. They have been added to the Topic displays in our classrooms.
