We are excited to celebrate Eco Day, a special time dedicated to caring for our beautiful planet. This year, we were joined by a very unique guest – The Grandmother Willow, a robot tree that shares stories about the seasons and the wonders of nature!
This creative project was a collaboration between our enthusiastic Eco Warriors and the talented Robotics Club. Together, they brought Grandmother Willow to life, using technology to help us connect with the rhythms of the natural world. As a special touch, the owl’s face perched on the tree was designed and 3D printed by the children – a fantastic blend of art, design, and technology.
Meanwhile, during Computing lessons, Year 5 took their learning outdoors, testing their coding skills in a fun and active way. They checked the accuracy of their coded step counters on Micro:bits by taking real steps and comparing the data – a brilliant way to blend fitness, computing, and problem-solving!
We’re proud of how our children are using creativity and technology to explore and care for the world around them.
