This week in English we learnt about eye witness accounts and why these are important when report writing. We also learnt about how to write in the first person by using ‘I’ and ‘we’. We were able to extend this learning further by hot seating each other and using emotive language to describe what our experience of the fire was like. Some of us even got to dress up! We came up with some wonderful words which are now on display in our classrooms.
In Maths we continued learning about addition on a number line. This helped us to understand why we use partitioning when adding numbers and also helped us to consider mental methods for addition.
This morning after Stay and Learn we had the opportunity to go and watch the Year 3 Emerald Class assembly. It was an excellent assembly that taught us lots about the Stone Age – thank you Emerald Class!
