This week in Year 4, the children travelled back in time to the first century AD as they dug their teeth into our history topic ‘Roman Rule’. The children looked at examples of Roman art mosaics, as well as famous mosaic artists from past and present eras. Having decided on their colour and design choices, the children sketched their mosaics in their art sketch books, before creating their mosaics using a range of different materials. The outcome of the children’s work was fantastic – well done!
