Hooray! Year 2 has officially graduated from Key Stage 1, and what a fantastic journey it has been! All the children in Year 2 have shown tremendous growth and confidence. This has been especially evident over the last two weeks while Citrine, Yellow and Diamond Classes have attended swimming lessons. Each student has worked hard to improve their skills in the water, and it has been wonderful to see them bloom into more confident swimmers.
This week we have also been flexing our competitive muscles as we completed our races on Sports Day. Each child represented their houses of St. David, St. Patrick, St. George and St. Andrew put their athletic abilities to the test. It was a delightful day filled with cheers and encouragement as everybody took part. The Year 2 teachers enjoyed their race and it was wonderful to hear the children cheering us on (congratulations to Mrs. Nicholson for her impressive performance!).
This week’s events will continue with the Summer Fair, which promises to be an enjoyable time filled with games, food, and laughter. We hope everyone can come along and join in the festivities!
Looking ahead, we are all very excited about the beach trip on Tuesday. Fingers crossed that the weather will be lovely so that we can have a splendid day by the sea, collecting shells and enjoying the sand.
