We have had a spectacular week in Year 2!
We had a very special visit from Father George in Year 2 this week where we discussed our current Religion topic, “Reconciliation.”
We learnt how God loves us unconditionally and is always willing to forgive us. Father George explained that it is important to celebrate this love from God and he helped us to understand that we are all a “piece of God.”
We also discussed how forgiveness is love and we reflected on how we can show this love by forgiving others if they hurt us and forgiving ourselves for any wrong choices that we may make.
We also continued our captivating learning in our topic work through the use of VR headsets and we experienced what it may have been like to land on the moon, just like Neil Armstrong had done in 1969!
Lastly, we thoroughly enjoyed coming in to school in our pyjamas! We had lots of exciting math challenges and appreciated our treats with a movie!
